A-SNAPP team members on the move

Two key partners in A-SNAPP (Agribusiness in Sustainable Natural African Plant Products) have moved to new locations recently. A-SNAPP's South African team has relocated its base of operations from within the Agricultural Research Council (ARC) to Stellenbosch University. The team will occupy a block of offices with greenhouses and test plots close at hand, and will work with agricultural economics experts at the university to help assure that A-SNAPP's projects are economically viable in the field. According to South Africa's team leader, Elton Jefthas, "the move from ARC to Stellenbosch creates a team solely dedicated to natural products."

Also, Dr. James Simon, formerly of Purdue University, has moved to Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. With this move, Dr. Simon brings to Rutgers the New Use Agriculture and Natural Plant Products Program, a leading international center offering studies in aromatic and medicinal botanicals. From his new post Dr. Simon will continue as an active partner in the A-SNAPP program, bringing with him the valuable resources Rutgers University has to offer.
