British regulations on vitamin B6 set dangerous precedent.

Last July England's Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Foods (MAFF) proposed regulating the levels of Vitamin B6 in OTC products to 10 mg. Products containing 11 to 49 mg would be sold as OTC products in pharmacies, with those containing more than 50 mg available only as prescription drugs. Though safety levels are still not entirely clear for vitamin B6, most studies associate the risk of neurological damage with a daily intake of more than 600 mg. Few products currently on the market include more than 50 mg of vitamin B6. This has led many in the supplement industry to question the MAFF's motivation for the proposed regulations.
