The Herb Growing & Marketing Network is a trade association for the herb industry with around 2000 members in business since 1990. The ODS supports research and disseminates research results in the area of dietary supplements. The ODS also provides advice to other Federal agencies regarding research results related to dietary supplements. To explore the role of dietary supplements in the improvement of health care, the ODS plans, organizes, and supports conferences, workshops, and symposia on scientific topics related to dietary supplements. The ODS does not have any regulatory function related to dietary supplements, the labeling of supplement products or ingredients, or the regulation or oversight of companies that produce dietary supplements or their activities.
