Who we are:
The Herb Research Foundation (HRF) is a nonprofit research and educational
organization focusing on herbs and medicinal plants. Our resources include:
  -  Over 250,000 scientific articles in our library.

Up to date information on thousands of herbs.

Thorough files on traditional use of herbs, plus historical information.
- 
An international network of scientists, educators, lawyers and consultants,
plus business leaders in the fields of natural product cultivation and
production, importing, manufacturing, distributing, marketing and retailing
What we do:

We provide information about herbs to you, the public and to professionals.
- 
We serve as a specialty library on herbs.
-  We conduct custom research proving the safety and health benefits 
    of herbs.
-  We help disadvantaged farmers in developing countries to produce herbs 
    as cash crops and medicinal resources.
- 
We conduct and promote projects on environmental conservation of threatened,
endangered or overcollected herbs.
- 
We help to educate the press, the public, scientists, doctors, legislators
and the herb industry about all aspects of botanicals.
HerbalGram
We publish the 86 page color journal, HerbalGram for our members, in 
  coordination with with our sister organization the American Botanical Council 
  in Austin, Texas. HerbalGram is the best herb magazine anywhere, 
  critically acclaimed, interesting and beautiful. Through HerbalGram and 
  our newsletter, Herb Research News, we keep our members up to date with 
  the latest facts on herbs in science, legislation, and business.  
Herbs for Health
We also offer our members the beautiful and highly readable, Herbs for Health. 
  Herbs for Health has the largest circulation of any herb magazine and 
  offers a practical and diverse view into the use of herbs.  Along with 
  our newsletter, Herb Research News, Herbs for Health helps our 
  members keep up to date with the latest herb news. 
Herb Research News
Herb Research News is our quarterly newsletter exclusively for Herb 
  Research Foundation members. Much of the news you see in our news section 
  online, plus much more, is available first to our members through Herb Research 
  News.
Our Mission:
To improve world health and well being through herbs.
The materials in our files are available to the public for a small cost 
to cover research time, copying and shipping. Our members receive discounts and 
priority service. 
HRF is working to increase the rational and informed use of herbs through
scientific research and education. We are working to bring nature back
into modern health care in the US and around the world..

We reach about 4 million people each month through magazine articles, radio and 
television. We offer information through many programs including our online and 
custom research services.
