A-SNAPP is currently seeking two partner organizations that wish to work with the Herb Research Foundation on the promotion, develop-ment, and execution of the A-SNAPP project for a 2-1/2 year period ending September 30, 2000. Partner organizations will provide support for full-time project coordinators who are responsible for implementing A-SNAPP activities in Southern and Western Africa (see project coordinator position descriptions to the left). A-SNAPP is currently seeking two individuals to represent and support the A-SNAPP project as program coordinators in Southern and Western Africa. Coordinators will be responsible for fostering relationships with current and potential business partners, acting as a liason between the Herb Research Foundation and African partners, and assuming primary responsibility for coordinating business linkage workshops. Both positions are full-time (40 hours per week), for a 2-1/2-year period to end 30/9/2002. Program coordinators will report to HRF. The location of the offices has not yet been determined. Supported by funding from the US Agency for International Development (USAID), A-SNAPP is a three-year collaborative project between the Herb Research Foundation (HRF) of Boulder, CO, Purdue University of West Lafayette, IN, and the Agricultural Research Council (ARC) of South Africa. By providing marketing assistance, quality management, and training, these partner organizations are working to help African growers and entrepreneurs achieve excellence in the production of competitive, world-class natural products.
