AHPA proposes kava labeling.

A preliminary cautionary label for kava is under consideration by AHPA, with a final report on the issue to be made later this year. Because of the variety of forms of kava, the AHPA Kava Committee stated that setting dosage limits is difficult. However, they discussed a draft label proposal that reads: "Do not drive or operate equipment. Do not consume during pregnancy or while nursing. If you are taking other medications, consult your health care practitioner. Do not consume with alcohol."
