Ginseng increased sperm motility in vitro

The healthful effects of ginseng have been acknowledged in Asia for centuries. Modern scientific research has confirmed its antioxidant activity and contributions to overall health and energy. Results from this small in vitro study suggest that the saponin extract from dried Panax notoginseng roots may enhance sperm motility. Panax notoginseng and Panax ginseng are thought to be somewhat interchangeable. The saponins should be subjected to further clinical research.
