New membership benefit

The Herb Research Foundation is pleased to announce an exciting addition to our membership benefits package. We have expanded our free magazine subscription offer to include a brand new magazine, Herbs for Health. With a goal of being "understood, trusted, and used", this colorful bimonthly magazine is dedicated to providing useful, up-to-date information and tips on how to incorporate herbs into everyday life. Its practical focus holds special appeal to newcomers to the world of medicinal plants, but there's sure to be something for everyone! Herbs for Health features articles by many of the same renowed herb specialists who write for HerbalGram, the peer-reviewed scientific journal that our members already know and love. The first of six yearly issues of Herbs for Health came out in September, 1996, and as of June 1997, at least one-quarter of HRF members had switched from HerbalGram to Herbs for Health.

Now, all higher level HRF supporters (from the Commercial level up) will receive both HerbalGram and Herbs for Health. All others members will be given a choice of one or the other of these two excellent publications each time they renew. Better yet, you can receive both for only $20 more per year, a savings of up to 33% off the newsstand price.

HerbalGram or Herbs for Health?

HerbalGram is a peer-reviewed journal featuring research reviews, legal and regulatory updates, and in-depth articles on medicinal plants. HerbalGram has a scientific focus that makes it a must for serious herb students and those in the herb business. Co-published by the Herb Research Foundation and the American Botanical Council, HerbalGram comes out four times a year and contains no product advertising. Herbs for Health, published by Interweave Press six times a year, offers basic, practical information on using medicinal herbs. It presents articles, resources, recipes and gardening tips that are especially appreciated by newcomers to the world of herbs.
