Univera develops proprietary method to authenticate botanicals
Univera Pharmaceuticals of Broomfield, CO has developed a method to
guarantee the identity of botanical raw materials and finished products
for suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors. The company has successfully
applied DNA fingerprinting to the dietary supplement industry for the
first time. Univera was recently awarded a patent for their application
of the technology to aloe, and is currently developing applications
for the most popular herbs on the market.
