#3 Option 1: US $80

Weather permitting, this day will start with a trip up Table Mountain (in the event of bad weather, you will drive up to Signal Hill for similar panoramic views of the city). When you descend from the mountain, you will continue on your Grand Tour of the Cape Peninsula. Via Kloof Neck you will travel along the Atlantic seaboard to Hout Bay, and then continue via Chapman's Peak to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve and Cape Point. A funicular ride will take you to the tip of the Peninsula from where you can view the great southern ocean. A fish lunch will be enjoyed at the Two Oceans Restaurant at Cape Point, before you continue your trip via the False Bay coast to Simons Town, where you will visit Boulders Beach to view the African penguin breeding colony. You return to Cape Town and your hotel via the very scenic Boyes drive. Evening at own leisure.

#4 Option 2: US $85

After breakfast the group departs for the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, from where you will undertake a cruise to Robben Island. Here you will visit the old prison as well as some of the other historical buildings on the island before returning to Cape Town. On your return (13:00) you will enjoy lunch at one of the many outstanding restaurants in the Waterfront. After lunch you will visit the Two Oceans Aquarium (the largest and technically most advanced aquarium on the African continent) and conclude the day with an IMAX film. In the IMAX theatre, a five-storey high screen and 15000 Watts of digital music power is used to create a larger than life experience. Late afternoon return to your hotel.

#5 Option 3: US $65

Day of whale watching on our southern coast. Travel via Sir Lowry's Pass, Grabouw and Bot River to Hermanus. Here you visit the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley and the Hamilton-Russell Wine Estate for a tasting of their fine wines. Continue on to Rotary drive above the town, from where you have unspoiled panoramic views of Walker Bay, where it is said that you have the best land based whale watching in the world. At about lunchtime, you will arrive in the town of Hermanus, with enough free time to view the whales, do some shopping or just wander around. A seafood lunch is enjoyed at Bientangs Cave on the rocks near the old harbour. You return to Cape Town via the coastal route, stopping at the Harold Porter Botanical Garden in Betty's Bay on the way. Following Clarence Drive along the coast you will head to Gordon's Bay, the Strand, and then the city.
