On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it is my pleasure to invite you to participate in the First International Southern African Roundtable for Agribusiness in Sustainable Natural African Plant Products (A-SNAPP), to be held from 4 6 April 2000 in Cape Town, South Africa.

This event marks the first time in history that such a diverse group of people, including buyers, producers, processors and related industries, extension officers and scientists (local and international), and government officers will gather to discuss natural plant products. The objective of the Roundtable is to introduce and launch the new Africa-wide environmentally friendly natural plant products network. There will be opportunities to exhibit technology and new products, and to exchange scientific, industrial and commercial information. Please join us in forging new business and market linkages between international buyers of natural plant products and suppliers.

Your visit to South Africa begins in Cape Town, the Mother City, where the people are as diverse as the geography, blending their culture into the rainbow that is Cape Town, South Africa. Known as a city with no limit of things to do, we look forward to introducing you to Cape Town's famed hospitality, culture and cuisine. Delegates will have the opportunity to see the "most beautiful peninsula in all the world." Day excursions for individuals accompanying you will also be arranged. Delegates who are staying in South Africa for a longer period of time are welcome to contact the Secretariat for personalized tours or excursions. Please note that an extended itinerary for delegates wishing to visit Durban or other regions of South Africa can be arranged.

The venue for the Roundtable is the Hotel Le Vendome, London Street, Sea Point, which was chosen for its world class conference center. The hotel offers elegance and comfort, blended with the most modern of facilities in each of its rooms and suites.

The Organizing Committee is making every effort to create a dynamic, productive Roundtable and to ensure that your stay with us in South Africa is a memorable experience.

Regards,

Elton Jefthas,

ARC, South Africa.
